I have been going to my local masseuse for a while now and I always try to tip her well, but lately she has been a bit lazy and just hasn't been giving me the best massage at all. I am giving her this for her birthday (she says she is a leo), in the hopes that my next tui na body rub session is more satisfying and her muscles more in shape when it counts.

I have a chronic shoulder/elbow condition that is aggravated by weight bearing exercise, and thought this piece of equipment would be just the thing I need to prevent that, yet still get the arm/shoulder shaping I desire. Not so....after the first use, my condition (tendonitis/bursitis) flared so badly that I had to use ibuprofen and ice/heat therapy for several days just to endure. It's been several weeks now, and I still have some pain. Although the workout looks harmless enough, just be aware of the potential problems if you already have any chronic conditions. The short workout program included may be too long to start out with.

This product is too light to really be of much use as far as results are concerned. Guess if you do no physical activity it might make a difference.

I really enjoy this thing! Granted, this exercise could be done without the shake weight, but it is fun to have a prop to help with the shakin'. Be careful though to get used to the weight, and ease your muscles into it before diving into the dvd routine. ;)
